Norma Jean Crain, 79, of Galesburg, died at 12:55 a.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.  Norma was born on June 5, 1930 in Galesburg, the daughter of Errol and Gladys Rose Clark.  She married William W. Crain in Galesburg.  Surviving are her husband William of Galesburg; 3 sons, Mark (Kathy) of Landers, Wy, Jeffrey (Paula) of Casper, Wy, and Michael of Galesburg; 2 daughters, Karen (Ron) Smith of Galesburg, and Jean (Tom) Tate of Galesburg; 3 sisters, Thelma Powell of North Carolina, Earline Leafgreen of Cheyenne, Wy, and Patricia Thompson of Austin, Tx; 12 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by 1 brother and 3 sisters.  Norma worked at the telephone company for 10 years, Gale Credit Union for several years.  She last worked as the branch manager of Fidelity Federal Bank.  She was a hospice volunteer for several years.  She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she was an extraordinary minister and was a member of the Ladies of Mary.   Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 30 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 29 at Watson Funeral Home with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.  Cremation will be accorded after the service.  Memorial may be made to the family.
