Norman "Wayne" Townsend

Norman “Wayne” Townsend, 50, of 708 S. Chambers St., Galesburg, died at home on June 30, 2009 at 3:15 p.m.   Wayne was born on January 13, 1959 in Vicenza, Italy the son of Norman Wayne and Mary Lue Shepard Townsend.  Surviving Wayne are his mother and step father, Mary Lue (Oscar) Riley, Jr., a brother, David (Dodie) Townsend of Abingdon; two ½ sisters; and a ½ brother.  He was preceded in death by his father.   He was a paralegal and owned and operated Land Office Researchers, Inc.    Funeral will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Watson Funeral Home, Rev. Kirk Kendall, officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Watson Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Rio Cemetery, Rio.  Memorials may be made to HIV/AIDS Task Force of Western Illinois.
