Pamela Sue Petty, 63, of Galesburg, died at 9:20 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2018 at her son’s home in Abingdon. Pam was born November 19, 1954 the daughter of Loren Everett and Evelyn Jean (Uhren) Petty. She is survived by one son, Lance (Samantha) Petty of Abingdon; one daughter, Marchalle M. (Jon Wintheiser) Petty of Galesburg; five grandchildren, Kayla (David Stephens) Petty, Brian Mackie, Evelynn Petty, Baylee (John Henry) Crandall, and Morgann Hatcher; and one great grandson, Kenneth Stephens. She is also survived by three brothers, George Petty of Galesburg, Nick (Rose) Petty of Abingdon, and Loren Petty of Omaha, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Barb Wright. Pam loved to work. She worked at St. Mary’s Square for 38 years and then worked for the Kensington until her retirement in 2015. She loved the residents and her co-workers at St. Mary’s Square, they were her second family. She also enjoyed watching television, especially, General Hospital, Wheel of Fortune, and Family Feud. She also enjoyed the sunshine, being outdoors, and walking. But most of all she loved her family and will be remembered for her loving care and stubbornness. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. No funeral service is planned.
