Patricia A. Wyatt

Patricia A. “Patty” Wyatt, 63, of Galesburg, died at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, February 04, 2014 at Marigold Health Care Center, Galesburg. Patty was born February 18, 1950 in Galesburg, the daughter of Jack and Betty (Young) Morrison.  Patty graduated from Galesburg High and Carl Sandburg College.  She married Whitey Shideman.  He preceded her in death.  She later married Nathan Wyatt.  They later divorced.  Patty is survived by two sons, Tim Shideman of Iowa and Joshua Wyatt of Pekin; one daughter, Jennifer (Don) Shewmake of Canton; her mother, Betty Morrison of Galesburg; two grandchildren, Gavin Wyatt and Rebecca Shewmake.  She is also survived by two brothers, Philip (Patti) Morrison and Kevin (Rose) Morrison both of Galesburg; and one sister, Linda Duncan of West Virginia.  She was preceded in death by her father, and one brother, James Michael Morrison. Patty was a LPN for various nursing homes and hospitals in the area.  Patty was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.  In her free time she enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Visitation will be 3-4:30 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory.  The rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. Friday.  Private family burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to the family or the American Diabetes Association.
