Patricia Anne Flynn Brubaker

Patricia Anne Flynn Brubaker, 86, of Galesburg, died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg. Patricia was born April 29, 1927 in Galesburg, the daughter of George W. and Dorothy A. (Riordan) Flynn.  She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy.  Patricia married Robert E. Brubaker on October 16, 1948 in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Galesburg.  She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann (Brubaker) Gummerson and her husband Donald of Galesburg one son, Mark E. Brubaker and his wife Mary  of Galesburg;; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert on March 27, 1999; a half sister, Mary Flynn Hoft and a half brother, Bobby Flynn. Patricia was a long time member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Galesburg and the Legion of Mary.  She enjoyed making crafts, and helping people.  Her hobbies were golfing, fishing, and cooking.  She loved goig for a daily 3 mile walk. Funeral Mass will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  Rev. Msgr. Ernest Pizzamiglio will officiate.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.  Memorials may be made to the Children’s Hospital Network.
