Patricia J. Kelly

Patricia Joann Kelly, 82, of Galesburg, Illinois, died 1:15 a.m. Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Marigold Health Care and Rehab, Galesburg.

Patricia was born October 14, 1942 in Kewanee, Illinois, the daughter of Jack R. and Marion A. (Conner) Rogers. She married Daniel Robert Kelly. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2006. Patricia is survived one daughter, Cynthia Thorgren of Galesburg; one son, Robert Kelly of Chicago, Illinois; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Rogers of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Patricia graduated from South Chicago Community Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for many years in hospitals, Doctor’s offices, and later different healthcare facilities prior to retiring. In her younger years, Patricia was a Brownie’s leader as well as a cheerleading coach. Her greatest joy in life was being with her grandchildren and being able to spoil them.

Cremation will be accorded. Private burial will be at Oakland Memory Lanes Cemetery, Dolton, Illinois. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg, Illinois.
