Pauline C. Morris

Pauline C. Morris, 80, of Galesburg passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Cottage Hospital surrounded by her family.   Pauline was born on April 10, 1929 in Seaton, the daughter of Paul and Ethel Callahan Welch.  She married James P. Morris on August 12, 1950 in Galesburg.  He preceded her in death on December 22, 2006.  Surviving Pauline is 3 sons, Paul “Steve” (Christine) of Galesburg, James (Lori) of Naperville, and Bill of Galesburg; a daughter, Trish (Daryl) Van Winkle of Abingdon; and a sister, Mary Anne O’Connor of Galesburg.  Also surviving is 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Charlie Stotts of Rock Island; 2 sisters-in-law, Betty Morris of Galesburg and Barbara Lane of Georgia; and a daughter-in-law, Cathy Morris of Galesburg.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Brunkow.   Pauline was a rehabilitation clerk in the physical therapy department at Cottage Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1994.  She was a charter member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies of Mary.  She enjoyed playing bridge.   Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with the Msgr. Ernest Pizzamiglio officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday at Watson Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m. with the rosary at 5 p.m.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Costa Catholic Academy.
