Philip T. Hansen

Philip Thomas Hansen, 78, of LeClaire, IA, died at 12:56 p.m. Saturday July 5, 2014 in OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. Phil was born October 28, 1935 in Correctionville, IA, the son of Thomas and Grace Rector Hansen.  He married Barbara Brenner on November 30, 1956. Barbara preceded him in death on June 16, 1999.  Phil is survived by one son, Scott Hansen of Davenport, IA; two daughters, Jill (Gene) Fischer of Detroit, MI and Jodi Hansen of Davenport, FL; one sister, Nona (Russ) Greenlee of Anthon, IA; and a brother in law, Jim (Fran) Brenner of Bettendorf, IA.  He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jason and Jessica; one great grandson, Kaiden; and many nieces and nephews. Phil worked for ALCOA for many years.  He loved watching NASCAR and enjoyed collecting antiques. Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.  Cremation services have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg, IL.
