Philis A. Bramlett

Philis A. Bramlett, 69, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed peacefully to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

Philis was born January 9, 1956 in Galesburg, the daughter of Philip and Mary (Armstrong) Smith. After graduating from Galesburg High School, Philis attended and graduated from the Carl Sandburg College of Nursing. She went on to work as a Registered Nurse at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in the ICU and Emergency Room until her retirement in 2003.

Philis is survived by her three beloved children, Carly (Andy Ennis) Bramlett of Maquon, Illinois, Cody (Hoa Jung) Bramlett of Los Angeles, California, and Jordan (Yorenny Rodriguez) Bramlett of New York City, New York; as well as her beloved three grandchildren, Brittany Ennis, Ashton Ennis, and Lucas Bramlett; and her great grandson, Hayden Hawk. Philis is also survived by one brother, Joseph (Teresa) Smith of Galesburg; and two sisters, Mary Walters and Ellajean Blunt both of Galesburg. Along with her parents, Philis was preceded in death by a son, Jacey Bramlett on September 15, 2003; and two brothers, Philip Smith and Michael Smith.

Known for having a green thumb, Philis loved tending to her flower garden and cooking delicious meals. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and telling silly jokes, playing ball in the yard and taking them on scavenger hunts. She never missed an opportunity to tell others how much she loved them!
