Renee L. Henry

Renee Lynne Henry, 51, of Galesburg, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at home. Renee was born on December 16, 1970 in Lebanon, CT. Renee is survived by her mother and step father, Christine (Michael) McMahan of Galesburg; two brothers, Eric Henry of Davenport, IA and Garth (Jessica) Henry of Gilson; one nephew, Luke Henry of Gilson; and one uncle Richard (Cheryl) Henry of East Moline, IL. Renee began her working career at Jacks while in high school. She continued working there after graduation and eventually became one of the manager’s for Shopko until the store’s closure. She then worked for several years for CUSD #205 in the office at King School. She then worked many years as the office manager for Dr. Kandy Sayrs and was currently working as the office manager for The Dental Group of Galesburg. When Renee was not at work she enjoyed being at home with her dog, Ginger and her cat, Cooper. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Renee loved to go fishing in her younger years, was talented in the kitchen both baking and cooking and enjoyed needlework. Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorials may be made in Renee’s memory to the Guardian Angels Humane Society.
