Richard L. Moulton, 80, Moline formerly of Galesburg, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Clarisa Cook Hospice in Bettendorf, Iowa. Richard was born on May 4, 1927 in Galesburg, the son of Lester David and Edith Marie Moulton. He married Lucille I. Frye on December 25, 1947 in Galesburg. She died on November 27, 2007. Survivors include 2 sons, Stephen (Clydene) of Galesburg and Doug of Seoul, Korea; a daughter, Missy (Tom) McCune, of Moline; 2 brothers, Ken of Sanford, Florida and Ray of Corpus Christi, Texas; 2 sisters, Marge Miedke of Salt Lake City and Dot Page; and 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He graduated from Galesburg High School and Barber College in Chicago. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He owned and operated Moulton’s Barber Shop at 1580 E. Brooks for over 50 years. He was a past member of the Elks. He was a lifetime fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, avid pitch player, and avid gardener. He loved spending time with his family. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Galesburg. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Watson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Windsor Cemetery, New Windsor. Memorials may be made to the family.
