Richard M. Villarreal

Richard M. “Rich” Villarreal, 51, of Galesburg, died at 6:40 a.m. Friday, July 4, 2014 at home. Rich was born June 7, 1963 in Chicago, the son of Daniel Acuna Villarreal and Esperanza Mary Mercado.  He is survived by one son, Richard Villarreal, Jr of Bolingbrook; two daughters, Rachel Villarreal and Roxanne Villarreal both of Bolingbrook; four brothers, Daniel Villarreal Jr., Gumaro Villarreal, Joseph (Tammy) Villarreal, and Michael (Yvonne) Villarreal; and two sisters, Gloria (John) Rodriguez and Mary Helen (Javier) Gutierrez.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Yolanda Villarreal, and his ex wife, Julie. Rich was a former bouncer at Diamonds. Funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Galesburg.  Rev. William Miller, IC will officiate.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg.  Visitation will be Friday at Watson-Thomas Funeral from 5-7 p.m., with the rosary being prayed t 7 p.m.  Memorials may be made to the family in c/o of Watson-Thomas Funeral Home, Galesburg.
