Robert Daniel Wallenfelsz, 71, of 1029 Mayberry Ln., Galesburg, died at 1:56 a.m. on Monday August 11, 2008 at Cottage Hospital. He was born on November 11, 1936 in West Bend, Wisconsin the son of Harold and Leona Herbst Wallenfelsz.  He married Faye Johnson on May 31, 1958 in Campbellsport, WI.  She preceded him in death on June 26, 2002.  Surviving are 3 sons, Mike of Cedar Rapids, IA, Mark of Atkins, IA, and Paul (Kelly) of Galesburg; 2 daughters, Mary Wallenfelsz of Austin, TX and Carol Ver Woert of Cedar Rapids, IA; and a brother, James (Nita) Wallenfelsz of Minnesota.  Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Angela Marie Liddle, James Taylor Wallenfelsz, Shannon Nicole and Kyle Christopher Ver Woert, Sydney Renee Wallenfelsz, Sarah Patricia Faye Wallenfelsz, and Elizabeth Catherine Leona Wallenfelsz; and a great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Liddle. Robert graduated from Marquette University.  He served in the US Army Reserves.  He was an insurance agent for many years and was currently working at Miller-Dredge Insurance.  He was also a long time Risk Management Consultant at RFMS, Inc.  He served on the board of directors of Residential Alternatives of Illinois, Residential Alternatives of Iowa, and Desert Health Care Facilities.  He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  He was a member at Lake Bracken Country Club.  Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, and hanging out with his family.  He was also an avid Ohio Buckeyes fan.  He also loved to read. Per his request cremation rites will be accorded.  A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  Memorials may be made to Costa Catholic Academy.
