Robert O. Johnson

Robert O. Johnson, 68, of 1720 Bluebird Dr., Galesburg, died at 5:10 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2007 at Cottage Hospital. Bob was born on March 31, 1939 in Galesburg, the son of Keeon and Velma Albright Johnson. He married Nancy Haynes on January 23, 1959 in Galesburg. He later married Karen Davenport on June 23, 1978 in Galesburg. She died in September of 2000. Surviving Bob are 2 sons: Jim (Lisa) of Peoria and Jon of Lake of the Ozarks, MO; 2 brothers: Donald of Galesburg and Gary of Fairview Heights; and 2 grandsons: Tanner and Bryce. Bob first worked at Anderson Cleaners, and then worked at Dick Blick from 1959 to 1979 as the Assistant Vice President of Computer Programming. In 1982 he bought and operated Power Router Sewer Co. in Galesburg, until his retirement in 2003. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at East Linwood Cemetery, with Dave Sholl, officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Rescue Mission.
