Robert W. LeFebvre, 85, of 1563 W. Water St. Galesburg, died at 9:23 p.m. on September 17, 2006 at Cottage Hospital. He was born on July 21, 1921 in Mapleton, Iowa the son of Walter and Ella Leitzen LeFebvre. He married Elsie Sturges on December 13, 1948 in Mapleton, Iowa. She survives. Also surviving are 2 sons: Donald (Rhonda) of Cameron and Joseph (Kelly) of Colona; 2 daughters: Diana (Bill) Tracy of Galesburg and Bonnie (Richard) Johnson of Layton, Utah; 1 brother Ronald (Mary) of Mapleton, IA and 1 sister Jeanette Tierney of Danbury, Iowa. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, and one sister. Robert served in the US Air Force during WW II. He worked as a manager for Skellgas division of Texaco for 31 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday September 21, 2006 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with the Rev. Ernest Pizzamiglio officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday September 20 from 6-8 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home, with the rosary being prayed at 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association
