Roberta F. Mower, 63, of Galesburg, died at 1:54 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at home. Roberta was born December 17, 1949 in Peoria, the daughter of Robert F. and H. Lorraine (Ericson) Mower. Roberta is survived by her brother, Ed (Diane) Mower of Galesburg; and two nieces, Lindsay Andrews of Dekalb and Kori (James) Thompson of Galesburg. She is also survived by two great nieces, Kierra Klapp and Kaiya Thompson; and a great nephew, J.J. Thompson. Roberta graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Nauvoo and from Lincoln College in Lincoln. Roberta owned and operated D & B Distributors in Galesburg, for 40 years. She spent the last several years working at the Brickyard in East Galesburg with her brother. Roberta was a member of the Elks Lodge #894. She also enjoyed antiquing in her free time. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Hope Cemetery, Galesburg. There will be no visitation. Deacon Jim Haneghan will officiate. A celebration of life will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Brickyard Bar and Grill, 102 Main St., East Galesburg. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Elks National Foundation.
