Rollin W. Adcock

Rollin W. Adcock, 93, 1215 W. Grove St., Galesburg, died at 6:49 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2009 at home.   He was born October 25, 1915 in Tylerville, Illinois the son of Guy and Laura Watters Adcock.  He married Edith E. Sepich on September 9, 1939 in Tipton, Iowa.  She preceded him in death on January 16, 1997.  Surviving are one son, Daniel W. Adcock, Bloomington; a sister, Lois Lundeen of Galva; 3 grandchildren, Cendee (Ken) Heck of Normal, Pamela (Ted) Jones of Peoria; and Danny Adcock of Chillicothe; 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.   Rollin graduated from Galesburg High School in 1934.  He was raised and farmed in the Galesburg area until 1962, at which time he moved to Palms Springs, CA and retired from their school district.  He and his wife returned to Galesburg in 1994.   Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Watson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Warren County.  Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of the donor’s choice.
