Ronald Hutchings

Ronald Hutchings, 72, of Oquawka, died at 6:35 a.m. on Monday, November 26, 2007 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. Ron was born on April 29, 1935 in Galesburg, the son of Gordon F. and Thelma Leistner Hutchings. He married Nancy E. Thompson on July 3, 1958 in Galesburg. Surviving Ron are his wife, Nancy of Oquawka; 3 sons, Donald of Conesville, IA, David (Brenda), and Douglas both of Galesburg; 3 granddaughters, Justina, Amber, and Heather; a grandson, Taron; and very special friends, Jim and Kate Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Gordon and Marvin; and a sister, Erma Obery. Ron worked for Admiral Corp. for 37 years retiring in 1990. He served in the US Army from July, 1958 to July, 1964. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6-7 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home with a funeral service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family.
