Ronald K. Thomas

Ron Thomas 72 of Galesburg Illinois passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2023, with loved ones by his side.

Ron is survived by his wife Elaine and their children. Jennifer(Cody) Karger, Susie(Zeb) Shultz, Andy(Emily) Mathews, Lacey(Ry) Colwell, and Dusty(Cindy Steirman) Thomas. Ron has 9 granddaughters and 5 grandsons.

Ron retired from Gates after 40 years in 2011. He enjoyed golfing, car cruises, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Ron on October 14, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm at Abingdon American Legion. Memorials may be made in Ron’s honor to St Jude’s Children Hospital or the donor’s choice.
