Ronald L. Foster, 76, of Galesburg, died at 2:18 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at Heartland Health Care. Ron was born February 25, 1936 in Macomb, the son of Leroy H. Foster and Margaret L. Walters. He married Carole Lawson. He later married Susan Kimmitt. Ron is survived by two daughters, Rhonda (David) Sturgeon and Crystal Foster, both of Galesburg; a step daughter, Jennifer (James) Koval of Galesburg; a step son, Kristopher (Rachael) Miller of Dahinda; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Judy Becraft of Washington and Kathy Pence of Bartonville. Ron was a business manager, first working at Cottage Hospital and retiring from the Galesburg Clinic in 1995. After he retired he kept himself busy with a variety of things including driving a truck and as the Knox County Jail Administrator for a time. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Macomb and Galesburg and Alpha Masonic Lodge No. 155 A.F.&A.M. Ron was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed playing cards. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at Watson Funeral Home. Rev. Al Beck will officiate. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to the time of services Monday at Watson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Western Illinois Kidney Center.
