Ross "Butch" Forshee

Ross “Butch” Forshee, 51, of Galesburg, died at 10:22 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 in Ely, MN. Butch was born on March 16, 1960 in Galesburg, the son of Robert and Esther (Martinez) Forshee.  He is survived by his mother, Esther Forshee of Galesburg; his fiancée, Lori Elmore of Victoria; and one daughter, Melissa K. Forshee of Ottumwa, IA.  He is also survived by one brother, Mark Forshee of Abingdon; four sisters, Janet Wright and Janice Davis, both of Abingdon, Angela Martinez-Alvarez of Peoria, and Maryann Tucci of Joliet; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Linda DeJaynes. Butch had worked for KCCDD since 1980.  When he was in school he ran for the track team.  Butch loved to ride his bike and watch wrestling.  He enjoyed spending time fishing. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, with Deacon Jim Haneghan officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to the family.
