Rusty Allen Murphy

Rusty Allen Murphy, 45, of Gilson, died at 11:03 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at home. Rusty was born July 28, 1969 in Moline, the son of Ted E. and Connie L. Murphy, they survive of New Windsor.  He married April C. Merideth on January 19, 1999 in Monmouth.  Rusty is survived by his wife April, and their children Christopher and Nattaliey; and a brother, Gary Murphy of New Windsor.  He was preceded death by a brother, Todd in 2009. Rusty worked in the meat industry for over 22 years, the last several years at Farmland Foods. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2014 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg, with a prayer service at 6 p.m.  Rev. Dan Lybarger will officiate.  Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.  Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established later.
