Ruth Obermiller

Frances Ruth Obermiller passed away at 12:20 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2012, at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana, Illinois. She was born on October 30, 1922, to Edd F. Shea and Kathryn Terese Locklin Shea.  She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.  She married Lawrence "Pete" Obermiller on April 20, 1943, and he preceded her in death on April 17, 1997. Surviving are one daughter, Sandra Hutchison, Modesto, California, and one son, Richard (Kathleen) Obermiller of White Heath, Illinois.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Obermiller will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Watson Funeral Home, 1849 North Seminary Street, Galesburg, Illinois, with rosary at 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on March 31, 2012, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 2401 N. Broad St., Galesburg, Illinois.  Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg, Illinois. Memorials may be directed to Costa Catholic School, Galesburg, Illinois, or the Alzheimer's Association of Illinois.
