Samuel C. Parrish

Samuel Curtis Parrish, 78, of Cameron, died at 1:18 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2021 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg. Samuel was born January 1, 1943 in Gorin, MO, the son of Cecil Curtis and Leona Ann (Robinson) Parrish. He graduated from Galesburg High School and then received his bachelor’s degree from Northwest Missouri State University. Samuel married Vickie L. Casteel on July 20, 1969 in Monmouth, IL. He is survived by his wife of 52 years; two sons, Kristopher (Cassie) Parrish and Patrick (Libby) Parrish, both of Galesburg; and two granddaughters, Victoria (Brad) Antkowiak of California and Althea Parrish of Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. No services are planned and cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Seminary Manor or Gerlaw Christian Church.
