Sandra J. Lefler

Sandra J. Lefler, 64, of 119 Knox Highway 31, Galesburg, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 11:28 p.m. at home. She was born July 23, 1941 in Quincy, Illinois to Fred and Helen Lomeyer Tibbits. She married Harold “Kip” Lefler III on October 28, 1961 in Quincy. Surviving is her husband, Kip, of Galesburg, a son, Rick (Casey) Lefler of Monmouth, a daughter, Vicki (Tim) Hallstrom of Bloomington, two brothers, Charles Tibbits of Memphis, TN and Fred Tibbits, Jr. of Keokuk, IA and a sister, Pat Brinkhoph of Colorado. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Ashley (Jon) Gulick, Rachael Lefler, Justin Lefler, Troy Adkinson, Harold “Mac” Lefler V, Dale Lefler and Lorien Hallstrom as well as one great-grandson, Shyler Gulick. She was a homemaker and also worked as a secretary for the family business, Monmouth Termite Control. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2 at Watson Funeral Home with the Rev. John Grimes officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at Watson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice.
