Sandra K. Ulm

Sandra Kay Ulm, 71, of Knoxville, Illinois, passed away at 1:33 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, at Allure of Lake Storey, Galesburg.

Sandra was born July 9, 1952, to parents Barbara Rice and Neal Melvin. She married and divorced Jerry Ulm, Sr. They had three children all of whom survive, Jerry (Rebecca) Ulm, Jr. of Gilson, Illinois, Jamie (Andrea) Ulm of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, and Darla (Billy) Kelly of Galesburg. Sandra is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; one brother, Dennis (Susan) Melvin of London Mills, Illinois; and four sisters, Debbie James of Abingdon, Illinois, Sheila Logan of Michigan, Sherry Hulick of Galesburg, and Terri (David) Dickerson of Abingdon. Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Hull.

She worked at Maytag for 30 years, retiring in 2003. She loved her long-awaited free time. Sandra thoroughly enjoyed her home, needlework, and helping her family most of all.

She is now at peace and heaven getting angel training.

There will be private family services with cremation to follow. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorial contributions may be directed to her children.
