Scott K. Cox

Scott Kelly Cox, 37, of 1752 Ronald Dr. Galesburg, died at 11:10 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010 at home, from complications of diabetes.   Scott was born on October 11, 1972 in Menominee, MI the son of David L. and Marjorie I. Raymond Cox.  Surviving Scott is his father, David of Rock Falls; a son, Scott K. Cox, II of Wausau, WI; a daughter, Samantha V. Cox of Wausau, WI; two brothers, David L. (Julie) Cox of Woodstock and Charles R. (Michelle) Cox of Augusta, GA; and 2 sisters, Sandra B. Arns of Sandwich and Krista (Bobby) Winters of Galesburg.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Scott was preceded in death by his mother Marjorie in 2004.   Scott had always worked in food service and was currently working at Steak N Shake in Galesburg.  While in school he was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and belonged to the Psychology Club at Carl Sandburg College.  Scott loved playing Dungeons and Dragons and enjoyed playing many other types of games.   Cremation rites will be accorded.  Graveside burial of ashes will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg.  A celebration of Scott’s life will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at 373 N. Chambers St. Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg.
