Shahn M. Storm

Shahn Marcadies Storm, 65, of Maquon, Illinois, died at 9:54 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2024 at Allure of Knox County, Galesburg, Illinois.

Shahn was born on July 6, 1959 in Portsmouth, Virginia, the daughter of James Dale and Vernita Joan (Philbee) Storm. Shahn graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1977 and earned an A.A.S. from Midstate College in Peoria, Illinois. She worked for many years as a medical transcriptionist at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Shahn is survived by her significant other of over 20 years, Stephen Weast of Maquon; three daughters, Koreena (Sarah) McCoy of Peoria, Illinois, Sheena (Matthew) Langwell of Galesburg, and Angelena J. McCoy of Georgia; and one sister, Dana Chason of Lancaster, South Carolina; eleven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Shahn was preceded in death by one brother, Delbert “Dale” Storm.

Shahn enjoyed her life living on the farm with Stephen. She helped him with the cattle, tended to her goats, loved gardening and canning, and spoiling her cats.

Cremation will be accorded. No services are planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorial contributions may be directed to Knox County Humane Society.
