Sheila Louise Crist, 68, of Galesburg, died on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, 11:40 PM at Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg. Sheila was born January 9, 1948 in Galesburg. She was the daughter of Joseph Emmett Feely and Anna Jean (Farrell) Feely. She married Michael Albert in 1968, Galesburg and together they had a daughter, Tricia White. Sheila later married Rodney Crist on September 2, 1972 in Galesburg. Together they had two sons, Dane and Dennis Crist. Sheila is survived by her three children, daughter Tricia White of Oneida; two sons, Dennis Crist of Galesburg, and Dane Crist of Bettendorf; a brother, Jeff (Linda) Feely of Wataga; three sisters, Colleen Feely Trask of Texas, Sharon (Myron) Feely Shreeves of Knoxville, Ellen (Bill) Feely Milnamow of Wheaton; a sister-in-law, Karen (David) Sayre of Florida; six grandchildren,; Megan Burns, Jadin White both of Galesburg, Tanner White of Oahu, Ethan Crist, Payton Crist and Charlie Crist all of Galesburg; and two great grandchildren, Lorenza Burns and Taylir Trulson both of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life, Rodney; and a sister, Patricia (Feely) Nicklaus. Sheila graduated from COSTA High School. Sheila was a mother and a homemaker. She worked in retail at Sears, JC Penney’s and the Mobil Gas Station in Knoxville, before becoming a CNA. Sheila was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and Knoxville Junior Women’s Group. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids. Sheila was deeply loved and will be forever missed. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Funeral Mass will follow on Saturday, June 18, 2016, 11 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Galesburg. Burial will follow immediately after mass at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg. A rosary will be prayed prior to mass at the church. Reverend William T. Miller, IC will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorials in Sheila’s honor may be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or to Knoxville Boy Scout Troop #220. Expressions of sympathy may be left to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
