Sondra Joy Michaels

Sondra Joy Michaels, 66, of Galesburg, Illinois, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, died at home Monday, May 16, 2022. Sondra was born February 25, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Stanley William and Angeline Marie (Michalik) Tarala. Sondra is survived by two sisters, Joy Michaels of Chicago, Illinois and Phyllis Summers of Palatine, Illinois. Sondra was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Stan Tarala; and one sister, Shirley Tarala. Sondra worked as a surgical technician at Lutheran General Hospital for 23 ½ years, retiring in 2002. Per Sondra’s request no services are planned and cremation will be accorded. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg, Illinois.
