Steven Arthur Morris

Steven A. Morris, 61, of Galesburg, died on Monday, October 16, 2017, 8:17 PM, at OSF Richard Owens Hospice House, Peoria. Steve was born on May 8, 1956 in Galesburg. He was the son of Arthur and Doris (Carlton) Morris. Steve married Cynthia Wolfe in 1983. She preceded him in death in December of 2008. He is survived by his daughter, Angela (Dan) Roberts of Galesburg; a sister, Judy Knutson of Florida; and a grandson, Cooper, of Galesburg. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and two sisters. Steve is a veteran of the United States Navy. He graduated from Carl Sandburg College with an A.S. He worked as an LPN at various nursing homes, and retired from Prairie City Nursing and Rehab after a twenty-year career. Steve loved reading, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family. Per Steve’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017, from 5-8 p.m., at the Lake Storey Pavilion, 1572 Machen Dr., Galesburg, Il, 61401. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorials in Steve’s honor may be donated to a charity of the donors choosing.
