Susan A. Pohren Ryden

Susan A. Pohren Ryden, 41, of Gilson, died at 7:03 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Cottage Hospital. Susan was born January 19, 1971 in Washington, IA the daughter of Everett and Patricia (Cottrell) Pohren.  She married Jeffrey Ryden in 2001 in Galesburg.  Susan is the mother of 4 daughters, Jessica, April , Brittany, and Kayla Pohren; and 2 sons, Joshua and Devon.  She is also survived by her mother and step father, Patricia (and Lawrence) Taylor of Galesburg; 2 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Nick Christner of Monmouth, Dale Christner of Rome, IA, and Calvin (and Cindy) Coon of Victoria; and 2 sisters, Diana Kramer of North Dakota and Kellie Whitham of Galesburg.  She was preceded in death by her father, husband, and a son Shawn Coon in 2002. Susan was a C.N.A. and last worked at Prairie Hall at Wildlife Prairie Park.  She enjoyed volunteering at the Helping Hands Animal Shelter. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday May 29, 2012 at Watson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Maquon Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the family.
