Terry L. Haptonstall

Terry L. Haptonstall, 62, Galesburg, died at home Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Terry was born June 4, 1960 in Galesburg, the son of Maurice Eugene and Elaine Ann (Pont) Haptonstall. Terry is survived by one son, Kyle (Kathryn) Haptonstall of Chicago, Illinois; and one brother, David (Echo) Haptonstall of Ormond Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Haptonstall and Elaine Daniel. Terry worked for many years as a truck driver for Munson Trucking. In 2003 he purchased the 7th Ward Tap in Galesburg, and has been operating the bar since. Terry was grateful for the opportunities when the bar was able to help raise money for numerous benefits. He was dedicated to the operations and enjoyed the social aspect the 7th Ward provided. Private family graveside services will be held at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Pastor Tom Ek will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
