Thomas J. Derloshon

Thomas James Derloshon, 81, of Galesburg, Illinois, died peacefully, Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Richard Owens Hospice Home, Peoria, Illinois.

Thomas was born July 30, 1943 in East Chicago, Indian, the son of Mary (Almason ) and Daniel Derloshon. Thomas worked at numerous mills in the Chicago area prior to moving to Galesburg. After his move he worked for the DD Homes in maintenance and worked for a time at Francis House. He last worked as manager at Sirloin Stockade.

Thomas is survived by his fiancé, and companion for 39 years, Mary Powers of Galesburg; one son, Daniel Darlson of Chicago; one daughter, Dominique Darlson of Knoxville, Illinois; and two grandsons, Thomas James Wexell and Trevon Dixon. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Margaret Patricia Shall.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2024 at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg, Illinois. No visitation is planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
