Thomas "Stone" B. Johnson

Thomas Brent Johnson, also known as Stone, passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 69 in Galesburg, Illinois. He was born on September 7, 1954, in Galesburg, Illinois, to Rodney and Betty Johnson. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother, Howard Johnson.

Thomas, or Stone as he preferred to be called, had a vibrant personality and a passion for life. He was a true fan of The Blues, The Cubs, and The Bears. Thomas found immense joy in listening to The Blues, attending music festivals, and cheering on his favorite baseball team.

Thomas leaves behind his sister Rhonda Johnson Hampton, nieces Erica and Scott Laatsch, Gracie Laatsch, and nephew Rex Laatsch. He was loved and cherished by his family, and his memory will forever live on in their hearts.

Thomas attended Galesburg Sr. High School, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors. He was a dedicated student with a thirst for knowledge.

A memorial service to celebrate Thomas' life will be held at The Corral, located at 1685 Grand Ave in Galesburg, Illinois, on January 6th at 1:00 pm. Friends, family, and all who knew Thomas are invited to attend and pay their respects.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg, Illinois.

Thomas will be remembered for his love of music, sports, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He touched the lives of those around him and will be dearly missed. May his soul rest in peace.
