Travis E. Bush, 47, of Galesburg, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at home. Travis was born December 14, 1970 in Galesburg, the son of Charles Walter, Sr. and Linda Ann Nelson Bush. He married Melinda Sue Porter on February 17, 2018 in Galesburg. Travis is survived by his wife, Melinda; his mother, Linda of Knoxville; four brothers, Rob (Deana) Bush of Rio, Lee Bush, Chuck (Laurie) Bush, and Mike (Clay) Bush all of Galesburg; two sisters, Debbie (Roger) McCormack of Virginia Beach, VA and Roxanne (Tom) Thomas of Kansas. Travis is also survived by two step sons, Brennon Clark of Galesburg and Logan Clark of Knoxville. Travis is preceded in death by his father, Charles, whom he missed deeply; and three brothers, Ricky Charles Bush, Charles W. “Bubby” Bush, Jr., and Earl Bush. Travis worked at Briggs Mfg. for several years and spent the past 11 years working for the Galesburg Sanitary District. He and Melinda were preparing to fulfill a dream moving to Clearwater, Florida. He graduated from Carl Sandburg College. Travis enjoyed riding motorcycle’s and cruising around in his Corvette. He also enjoyed working on cars. One of the things that made Travis the happiest was when he was at the beach. He also enjoyed weightlifting and fitness. Travis and Melinda had been attending Northwood’s Church in Galesburg. He also leaves behind his dog, Molly. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory. Deacon Michael Crummer will say prayers at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the funeral home. Pastors Jeremie Kilgore and Andrew Wingo will officiate. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials may be made in Travis’ memory to the Knox County Humane Society.
