Vickey Lee Crouch

Vickey Lee Utzinger Crouch, 55, of Kirkwood passed away at 9:50 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012 at her home in Kirkwood. She was born in Monmouth on May 6, 1957 to Lewis Lee Utzinger and Delores Shamblin. She married Terry Crouch on June 17, 1998 in Galesburg. He survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Tammy (Ernie) Davis of Cameron, Kim Edwards of Galesburg, Carrie (Scott) Leath of Galesburg; her granddaughter, Kendall Marie Lodwick; her sisters, Shari (Tom) Brinton, and Sharon “Beany” (Dave) Higgins; her half-sister Kathy Jo Shamblin, her step-father Dale Shamblin, and a very dear friend, Janet Thomas.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a half brother, Rusty Utzinger. Vickey attended Stronghurst and Yorkwood Grade Schools as well as Yorkwood Junior and Senior High School. She worked cleaning houses for seventeen years, and truly enjoyed all of the people whom she worked for. Vickey will be remembered for how she cared for her family, kept her home, and the way that she enjoyed gardening. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Funeral Home in Galesburg. Visitation is scheduled for 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 1 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. The Reverend Ken Muck will officiate. Memorials may be made to the family.
