Vincent Seibert

Vincent Seibert, 44, of 1240 IL Rte 97, Gilson, died at 7:13 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.   Vincent was born on January 30, 1965 in Galesburg, the son of Nicholas and Theresa Schneller Seibert.  Surviving Vincent are 3 brothers, Charles of Galesburg, Anthony of Iowa, and Steve of Chicago, a sister, Maria Seibert of Gilson, and several nephews and nieces.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia.   He worked as a farmer and foundry worker at Galesburg Castings for 10 years.  He was an avid bowler, enjoyed boating, motorcycle riding and spending time at his river cabin.  He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Most of all he loved farming and being with his family.   Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2009 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, with the Rev. William Miller, officiating.  Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Watson Funeral Home, with the rosary being prayed at 5:30 p.m.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Costa Catholic Academy.
