Vivian A. McQueen, 95, of Galesburg, passed away at 1:50 p.m., Sunday, June 17, 2012. Vivian Arlene Tonkin was born July 2, 1916, in Princeville, Illinois.  She was a daughter of Ralph Lester Tonkin and Pearl Hyde.  She married Lloyd Louis McQueen December 17, 1938, in Davenport, Iowa.  She was preceded in death by husband Lloyd (September 23, 1996); her parents Ralph (May 30, 1965) and Pearl (February 22, 1979);  and four sisters, Catherine Marie Cherrington (November 7, 2006), Maxine Ruth Keneipp (July 4, 2004), Ella Mae Collopy (April 3, 1997), and Doris Elizabeth Powell (April 3, 2011).  Surviving are sons Jerald and Joel of Galesburg, and a daughter Judith Stevens of Altona; grandchildren Charles McQueen, Donald McQueen, Angela Maurizi, Gregory McQueen, Jannifer Powelson, Mark Stevens, and Monica Stevens; great-grandchildren Laura McQueen, Evan McQueen, Kaitlyn McQueen, Connor McQueen, Emily Maurizi, Kathryn Maurizi, Alexandra Powelson, Brenna Powelson, and Sophie Stevens; and 25 nieces and nephews. Vivian attended grade school in Wilbern, Illinois, and completed three years of secondary education at Washburn High School, Washburn, Illinois.  She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1934.   Visitation for Vivian will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg.  Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Westfall Cemetery, rural Victoria.  Rev. Jennifer Seder will officiate.  The family requests memorial donations be made to Dahinda United Methodist Church, the Galesburg Rescue Mission, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
