Warren A. Riley

Warren A. Riley, 74, of Galesburg, died at 7:48 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Cottage Hospital. Warren was born on January 10, 1936 in Galesburg, the son of Francis and Mary Loretto Cofield Riley.  He married Marsha Helton on February 22, 1964 in Galesburg.  Marsha preceded him in death on June 10, 2004.  Surviving Warrren is his son, Tony (Deb) Riley of Galesburg; his daughter, Linda (Richard) Havens of Shreveport, LA; his grandchildren, Jeremy (Megan) Quinn, Jackie Quinn, Joey Quinn all of Shreveport, LA, Zachary and Caleb Riley both of Galesburg.  Also surviving is his brother, Tom Riley of Dahinda; and his sister, Mary Alice Olson of Galesburg.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Runbom.  Warren graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1954.  He worked for the Register Mail for 40 years, retiring in 1998.  He was a member and past Grand Knight of Father J.O. Hunt Knights of Columbus Council #556, Galesburg.  Warren was a founding member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  Warren enjoyed going to the Legion and Duffy’s where he enjoyed telling stories and having a beer with his friends. Funeral Mass for Warren will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Presley officiating.  Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
