Wauneeta Donaldson

Wauneeta Donaldson, 86, of Galesburg, died at 5:25 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Wauneeta was born September 4, 1926 in Princeton, the daughter of George and Mayme (Friend) Flint.  Wauneeta first married Richard Harman in 1945, she later married Harry Harrison in 1953.  He preceded her in death in 1993.  She then married Rodney Donaldson in 1995.  He preceded her in death in 1999. Wauneeta is survived by two daughters, Linda Harman of Bahrain and Judy Spurgeon of Princeville; one step son, Steve Harrison of Casa Grande, AZ; four grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  Wauneeta was also preceded in death by five brothers. Wauneeta worked at Maytag for 31 years, retiring in 1981.  In 1997 Wauneeta returned to the work force at Target in Galesburg, where she was still working.  Wauneeta was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Galesburg.  In her free time Wauneeta enjoyed being outside gardening or fishing with her family.  She especially enjoyed their fishing trips in Canada.  Wauneeta also enjoyed cooking and anything that involved her family. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church.  Rev. Joel Newton will officiate.  Visitation will be from 11 to 2 p.m. Monday at the church.  Cremation rites will be accorded following the services at the church.  Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home, Galesburg.
