William A. Christian, Jr.

William A. Christian, Jr. of Galesburg, died at 12:04 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2020 at home. Bill was born February 25, 1942 in Little Rock, AR, the son of William A. and Frances (Frazier) Christian, Sr.  Bill married Lynn H. Mangieri on May 21, 1966 in Galesburg.  She survives; as does one daughter, Michelle (Robert) Johnson of St. Charles, MO; and four sisters, Elizabeth Crites, Dorothy Brownyard, Anne (George) Allen, and Frances Christian all of Memphis, TN.  Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by one son, William in 1994 and one brother, Frazier. Bill worked at Maytag for many years before retiring.  He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Galesburg. Private funeral mass was held Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.  Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made in Bill’s memory to Corpus Christi Catholic Church, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or the Knox County Humane Society.
