Wilma W. Pacheco

Wilma Winona Pacheco, 90, of Galesburg, Illinois, died Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 8:10 p.m.

Wilma was born April 8, 1934, the daughter of Hazel (Moss) and Henry H. Wensel. She married Adelphino Pacheco, Sr. on July 20, 1952 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1996. Wilma is survived by one son, Adelphino (Tracey) Pacheco, Jr. of Galesburg; one daughter, Vicky (Richard) Martinez of Burbank, Illinois; and one brother, Frank Wensel of Galesburg. Wilma is also survived by her beloved nine grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Wilma was preceded in death by two sons, Michael on February 5, 2024 and John on April 13, 2024; two brothers, Jack and Harold Lloyd; and one sister, Virginia.

Wilma enjoyed being at home tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. She will be remembered for her feisty yet gentle and caring nature. Of all the titles Wilma had, grandma was her favorite. She loved spending every minute she could with them.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, with a celebration of life following at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Private burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Kidney Foundation or to the Knox County Humane Society.
